Synthetic organic yellow pigment derived from the monoazo dyes group (Hansa). Is a very bright yellow

  • Calcite White fine can be used as extender (Ref: 012)

  • Stable in all media
  • Mix well with all pigments
  • Tends towards transparency
  • Requires wetting agent for aqueous dispersions

Very subtle in mixes, Due to a lower hiding power it is an ideal partner to combine with inorganic pigments. Allow the formulation of brilliant shades either with reds or blues. Makes strong mixes with titanium dioxide. If you are looking for a primary yellow this is our option. These pigments are often adulterated in cheaper paint ranges by the addition of extenders with loss of transparency

Is a warm yellow pigment. It is part of the Yellow Hansa group of modern pigments first developed by the German Hoechst company in the early 1900s. It is a semi-transparent colour Hansa Yellow is often used at the present time, for environmental reasons, as a substitute for the toxic, lead-containing chrome yellow.

(*) All dry, powder-form pigments represent a hazard in that they can be classed as nuisance dusts. It is imperative when handling dry pigments that the user wears appropriate protection. An indication is given of the relative health hazard of each pigment.
