Synthetic pigment used for paints both as gessoes, for its pure white color, brightness and hiding power.

  • Very high tinting strength
  • Very stable to light

  • Mix well with all pigments
  • Very opaque even in thin layers
  • Can flocculate in acrylic dispersions

As pigment is in the market since 1920, although it was used in papermaking manufactures many years before. Before appearing this pigment, painters used lead white was very toxic and today its use is restricted. In its natural form it is present  in countries like Norway, Finland, USA and Canada. T

(*) All dry, powder-form pigments represent a hazard in that they can be classed as nuisance dusts. It is imperative when handling dry pigments that the user wears appropriate protection. An indication is given of the relative health hazard of each pigment.
